Our microscopy courses are a great experience for young and old. Together we explore the small creatures that live in fresh and salt water, from ponds to coral reefs.
It is extremely important for children to develop an interest in and respect for living creatures and our natural environment. “Eww” and “yuck” are a thing of the past. Fear of contact must be overcome as this is the only way to develop an understanding and love of nature. The so-called “connection with nature” that will stay with you for the rest of your life…
Patient observation and understanding are the order of the day – you can gain a whole new perspective on these little creatures!
Young people and adults alike are fascinated by the bizarre world of the microcosm, which gives them a completely new perspective on nature and its creatures. Not only do micro-organisms play a fundamental role in natural material cycles, they are also at the base of the food chain.
We have a number of concepts that have been tried and tested over the years, such as children’s birthday parties and private events, school classes and nursery groups (from 5 years old), marine events for trade fairs, dive shops and aquarium shops.
And of course as part of our MARINE BIOLOGY WORKSHOPS!
Whilst at trade fairs, visitors are attended to at a fast pace, for private or public events, small groups of 4 participants are recommended, lasting around 20 – 60 minutes. If there are a large number of participants, the groups can be changed, e.g. in combination with other programme items. The event can take place either at your location or at GREEN CORALS – with a tour of our coral breeding facility and fish feeding. Each participant receives a Confirmation of participation, a piece of coral skeleton and our GREEN CORALS postcards.
Of course, we can also implement other procedures and concepts, as well as other programme items, on a completely individual basis.
